When we told a chef friend of ours that we were building a QR menu platform, he just sighed: "Look, there are millions of those out there. Guests hate downloading PDFs, and I don't have time to click my way through admin panels."

And he was damn right. Nobody needs just a "menu on their phone." What's needed is a tool that sells, saves time, and solves real problems.

How we taught artificial intelligence to understand recipes (and why restaurateurs are grateful for it)

That's why we built iTasty around three ironclad principles:

  1. Zero downloads, zero sign-ups. The guest simply scans a tasteful QR code on the table (designed to fit the look of the venue) and instantly sees a clean, appetizing digital storefront.
  2. AI in service of the kitchen. We've built in artificial intelligence that automatically analyzes dish descriptions. The chef types: "Tender chicken breast in a creamy sauce with nuts..." – and the system highlights the right tags on its own: lactose, nuts, gluten. No more running to the kitchen to ask whether a salad is safe for someone with allergies.
  3. Updates in a split second. Ran out of strawberries for the lemonade in the middle of a Saturday shift? You don't have to cross items off with a marker or apologize to every single customer. One tap on your smartphone and the menu updates for every guest at once.

We're building iTasty as a flexible system for businesses of every size – from a local food truck to a restaurant chain. And this blog is our open book. We'll write here about new features, wins, and – completely honestly – the slip-ups that push us to the next level.

Drop by often, it's going to be techy and very tasty! ☕✨
